Custom Programming

Custom programming is a very involved process so let's take a look at an example.
This web design was developed to have a user interface (which is web based) to enter all the information on animals that are herdsires and all animals offered for sale. A user interface is simply a page where the user enters information in to pre-determined fields. The first screen
the user sees is a list of animals (fig1) When the user clicks on one of the animals in the list or clicks "create new animal" it takes them to a detail page (fig 2). All the custom fields the client wanted to display, including uploading and auto sizing pictures, were created then programmed into an easy to read, write to, and sort interface.
The client only needs to access this interface to add to or update any information about the animals displayed on their site. After the interface is updated and the information is saved, it automatically appears in two places on the web site. The first is a web page displaying all the entries made - in this case a revolving carousel (fig 3). If a viewer clicks on a particular animal they are taken to a detail page which shows all the vital statistics as well as any pictures that were uploaded (fig 4).
